HWU has done an interview with Rhett Brewer, the vocalist on some of the HW2 music tracks.
HWU: Can you describe the recording process for Homeworld 2, was it done from your London home or were you required to fly to the United States or Canada to complete the project? RB: Actually the Homeworld2 soundtrack was recorded entirely in Vancouver, Canada. Although Paul Ruskay and I discussed ideas prior to my arrival, the soundtrack for Homeworld2 evolved out of a very intuitive working relationship. I flew in from London and developed ideas during the live orchestral recording session with members of the Vancouver Symphony. Then Paul and I set about recording the vocals over the course of 4 days. Paul would play me each track, and then I would develop a vocal sound and melodic line for each theme as we went.
