Apparently those crazy cats over at Relic Universe are giving away more free stuff – this time it’s a Dawn of War t-shirt. DowFiles.com has an interview up with the lead of the Space Wolves Modding team.

TheDoc: Are any of the special characters for the space wolves(i.e. Ragnar Blackmane, Logan Grimnar, Ulrik, etc.) going to be added? Lionsbane: Ideally I’d like to add them all. Including some of the older version 40k characters such as Bjorn the Fellhanded and Njal Stormcaller.

GameSpy will be performing maintenance on the “Powered By GameSpy” online gaming infrastructure and is scheduling downtime on Thursday, October 28th from 12:15AM to 12:45AM PST. This downtime is required to complete the setup and testing of additional safeguards against malicious flooding attacks that were recently put in place. During this period all Powered By GameSpy services (matchmaking, buddy lists, stats, account logins etc.) will be unavailable.

I imagine Homeworld 2 will be effected as well. I like the bit about malicious flooding attacks.

Relic’s looking to help sort out some hardware compatibility issues, and some Online Stats reporting issues.

First, George (Totmacher) is looking for a wider sampling of people who are having crash issues. If you are crashing in DoW, please go to this thread and select the poll option that most closely matches your hardware. Feel free to provide additional information. Also, if you’re in the Vancouver area, identify yourself in the thread. (note: there’s also a thread there about jerky scrollling in SP or Skirmish)

Second, there seems to be a pretty big problem with stats not being updated properly for the stats reporting system. Ping (watermarine) has asked for people to report information to him via PM on the forums.

Looks like the swedes are up to good. There’s a Swedish only tourney running sometime this weekend.

I’d tell you more, but the only swedish I know is “Ikea”… which is something about common sense.
