There’s a The Outfit preview up at Game Daily.
When I first saw The Outfit I wasn’t impressed with its visuals because it looks like an Xbox game, but Relic put that particular opinion to rest as soon as the explosions went off. The countryside is vast and everything can be destroyed. You can turn stone enclosures into dust by running them over with a tank, blow holes in houses (and eventually bring them to the ground), blast apart a bridge and watch as the train that was crossing it awkwardly plunges to its doom, and uproot trees and leave behind immense craters. Dirt is kicked up, wood splinters and flies every which way, and explosions erupt across the clear, blue sky and kick up dirt and debris. Meanwhile, 40-60 highly detailed onscreen characters run about, planes soar overhead, and several vehicles zip across the grassy terrain, and the frame rate never wavers. The more I watched this carnage (in total awe, by the way), I realized there is no way in hell this is even remotely possible on the Xbox.
He’s also not taking into account that they’ve got a lot of the graphical options off as they don’t have final hardware that will support them yet.
