Having played it i say, wow what an expantion, except it isnt really an expantion. An expantion go’s with the name, Add’s to conetent ect. i’d say Winter Assault is more like a new game with the same characters. all the changes have been made for ballance issues and to ad variaty for exmple chaos now and not just marines with defilers :P

in all i’m delighted with the patch, gg relic

Basically they changed and streamlined most of the techtree for all races, many upgrades were merged together, unit roles were changed.
Its really too much to sum up, i’d suggest you take a look at the forums, there a quite a lot of threads for all the race specific changes.
As for Space marine Predators, they’re Anti vehicle only now and Hellfiredreads have been turned into pure anti infantry units. Chaos predators seem to be effective against most targets after Deamonic shells upgrade, prior to that they’re mainly Anti-infantry. Horros are now chaos main anti Vehicle unit.

I live in Hungary and WA havnt been released yet, and it wont be released min. for a week. Anyway i wanted to ask u about the predators, what is better in them, whats wors?

afaik they removed the ability to upgrade preds w/ lascannons, the’re now default for SM and Chaos only get a demonic shells upgrade.
..and im still waiting for my copy of WA :)

mmm makes me wonder what games he is playing. it’s 4 max builders by design since they cost no pop. Preds are upgradable with lascannons. Havn’t tried the IG in multiplayer though.

Chill out, dude. Enjoy the game and quit nit-picking. I’m sure the rules that are in place are there for a reason.

If you don’t like it, play something else.

Played it..
A big letdown would sum it up…
Imp guard are not that good - OK but not good by any standard
but the real bad thing is the complete (and un-said) respec to build orders and unit caps…
max 4 builders for marines anyone?
non upgradable preds?
If any one wants the game it will be on ebay soon :)

personally I think WC3 Frozen Throne should be dubbed best expansion from blizzard, not broodwars
