Buggo’s posted that the next patch for Company of Heroes/Opposing Fronts is inbound in a short while. 11am Pacific time (GMT -8) today. So about 60 minutes after I post this.
Update: Apparently the patch release was a fairly major disaster. THQ and Relic apparently have it back in testing to resolve the issues. I’ll let you know when I hear/see more about the cause and eventual fix. Very disappointing!

I had the same problem, I think, try going into “My Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes” and starting the patch that way.

Buggo posted this in the patch status thread, “Patch 2.200 back in testing”
Seems it would not work for some reason after you downloaded it.

The 2.200 patch seems like the perfect ending to the saga of poor Relic online support. I can only assume that Relic has responded to the host of complaints from 2.103 by releasing this cure-all. All those minor connection and stat issues? Gone! because you don’t get to play at all anymore! Trying to make this game work reminds me of trying to play Doom multiplayer on my 14.4kbps modem in 1995. Truly the WORST support experience I have probably ever had.

Coh is best strategy game i have ever played but the connection problems are really bad. i dont understand why only relic has these problems
Posted by obxtony at December 11th, 2007 at 4:18 pm
I have same prob as above but cannot find patch in game directory! Every time I try and log on it keeps telling me patch is required, but when I try dl’ing again its says patch installed ok.
Where the hell is it and why has relic emplyed idiots to tamper with what was once a perfectly good game.

I love Company of Heroes, I think it’s a great game.
But goddamn, stupid connection issues.
I’m going back to Red Alert 1, 2, Yuri’s Revenge and C&C Generals, till this gets fixed.
And World in Conflict.

P.S. Relic=Fail.

What a LOAD of CRAP! I have never ever spent so much time downloading patches and dealing with Agravation like this game!
RELIC you need to hire employee’s who actually play games and then you would know what a dogs breakfast you’ve got.
ARG!
PS If I see THQ or Relic on another game , I’m
running the otherway!

I just bought Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.
I start up the game, then he ask for a patch, so I download the patch, nothing wrong so far but when I try to install the patch, he says: not enough space, the disk or file may be damaged or dirty(what is immposible)I tried to reinstall the game but still when I try to install the patch, he says the same thing
What should I do?
Posted by Moe at December 30th, 2007 at 2:01 pm
Post in the technical assistance forums. It may be possible that you do not have enough disk space for the patch to unpack the game archives.

what’s the point and what’s the use of bitchin…seems like an awesome game is going down the tubes because somebody f’ed up and can’t fix it now…Maybe Relic should leave these strategy games to CDV….
Posted by carl finlay at January 4th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
